~ About Me ~

Hi! My name is Lotte (she/her), a Dutch twenty-something.

I love reading, drawing, music, gardening, cold weather, forests, swimming in rivers and pretty Christmas lights. I reign over a small cat Kingdom of three cats who only sometimes listen to me.

Some of my favorite books are The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen, This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen, and Uprooted by Naomi Novik.

I also write fiction, generally short stories and I’m tentatively working on a novel. You can read some of my short stories on my author blog.

On this blog I post book reviews and general bookish or writing talk.

I use content warnings (CWs) in my book reviews, because I think it’s important that people can make informed decisions whether they want to expose themselves to possibly painful content. That said, I will do my best but I won’t be able to catch everything. You can always shoot me a message with a question about a book I’ve reviewed.

Older reviews don’t have CWs, but reviews posted later than November 2019 all consistently have CWs.
