Yay, this month is a special month for BionicBookWorms’ weekly meme Top Five Tuesday, because it’s Harry Potter themed! Every week we’re listing books for a different Hogwarts house, and we’re starting with my house, Gryffindor 😀 So let’s get into it!
- Uprooted by Naomi Novik
A book about a super brave, smart and idealistic young woman who survives in very difficult circumstances and does what everyone thought to be impossible. Really cool fantasy story as well 🙂 - The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
All right, Kvothe COULD be Ravenclaw, but I put him here because he’s also such a brave little idiot who does stuff before he thinks and is super honest and passionate and idealistic. - The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Katniss is super brave and resourceful, even when she’s really afraid, trying to do what’s right in a society that’s everything but right or fair! - The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
All right, this one is a little hard to categorize, but I do think Bilbo is a Gryffindor and the story is certainly very Gryffindor-esque, with its dragons and mountains and trolls!! - War for the Oaks by Emma Bull
You might not know this book, but it’s a really cool urban fantasy about a woman who plays in a band and is really good at her music and so attracts the attention of the faeries, who’re having a war and want to use her as a pawn! It’s a really cool story about a super brave woman, and there’s a motorcycle, need I say more?
This was a lot more difficult than I’d thought it’d be :’D hope you enjoyed it though!

oh dear god, Katniss would be such a Gryffindor,,,,,,But the world’s most Angsty Gryfindor of all time. + I need to read The Name of the Wind so much, i’ve been on hold at the library for exactly 156,879 years, it’s extremely painful to be this patient XD

Kvothe is SUCH a Gryffindor haha. And I think he and Harry are quite alike?? They both dive into things without thinking, they both need level-headed friends to keep them in check, and they both do things that make me want to affectionately strangle them. 😛
