3 Days, 3 Quotes Book Tag (Day 2)

Heyyyy it’s time for another tag 😀 I was tagged by The Bibliophagist to do the 3 Days, 3 Quotes tag, thank you! This is day 2, you can read day 1 here

The Rules
1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day)
3. Nominate three new bloggers each day

For today I picked a quote from a book I haven’t actually read yet (The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath). I encountered the quote years ago and it struck a chord with me, and I’ve always remembered it.

“Yes, my consuming desire is to mingle with road crews, sailors and soldiers, barroom regulars—to be a part of a scene, anonymous, listening, recording—all this is spoiled by the fact that I am a girl, a female always supposedly in danger of assault and battery. My consuming interest in men and their lives is often misconstrued as a desire to seduce them, or as an invitation to intimacy. Yes, God, I want to talk to everybody as deeply as I can. I want to be able to sleep in an open field, to travel west, to walk freely at night…”

Today I tag:
NorthernPlunder
– Commas&Apostrophes
– CafeManon

And of course, if you don’t want to do this tag, no pressure at all 😀
